Medomak Valley Successfully Defends KVAC Cheering Title
Medomak Valley cheerleaders successfully defended their Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference title on Monday, Jan. 18 at the Augusta Civic Center. The KVAC championship was the fourth in six years for the Lady Panthers. They also won in 2011, 2013, and 2015. They were runners-up in 2012 to Leavitt and 2014 to Gardiner.

Lincoln County Administrator Resigns
Lincoln County Administrator John O’Connell announced his resignation to the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners at the board’s meeting Tuesday, Jan. 19. His resignation will be effective at the end of March or early April. The commissioners accepted his resignation and his recommendation to advertise in-house to fill the position.
