Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
Dec. 18, Andrew T. Thrasher, 29, of Edgecomb, was arrested for operating under the influence, on Wiscasset Road, Boothbay, by Deputy Aaron Beck.
Dec. 19, Gary L. Bucklin, 30, of Bath, was arrested on three active warrants, on Knickerbocker Road, Boothbay, by Deputy Ryan Chubbuck.
On Dec. 13, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Damariscotta involving Susan A. Arbuckle-Keith, 56, of West Bath. Arbuckle-Keith was operating her 2000 Saturn northbound, just south of Main Street, when her vehicle struck some ice, causing her to lose control. As a result, her vehicle went off the road to the right and came to rest in a ditch. Her vehicle sustained damage to the undercarriage, as well as some damage to the sides. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 13, an accident occurred on Bristol Road in Bristol involving Robert A. Moll, 86, of Chelmsford, Mass. Moll was operating his 2000 Honda Accord southbound when he lost control of his vehicle on black ice. As a result, his vehicle crossed the northbound lane, left the roadway, and struck two utility poles. Sgt. Brendan Kane was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 14, an accident occurred on East Pond Road in Nobleboro involving Heather R. Elowe, 59, of Nobleboro, and Brian R. Lawrence, 52, of Nobleboro. Lawrence was operating his 1997 Ford F-250 southbound when he stopped in traffic behind an unidentified vehicle. Elowe was also traveling southbound in her 2006 Honda CRV behind Lawrence’s vehicle when she failed to stop, striking his vehicle. Sgt. Kane was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 14, an accident occurred on Lynch Road in Newcastle involving Faith Lewis, 24, of Boothbay Harbor. Lewis was operating her 2002 Toyota Prius eastbound when she lost control of her vehicle, went off the roadway, and struck a tree. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 14, an accident occurred on Jones Woods Road in Newcastle involving Katherine E. Mess, 33, of Jefferson. Mess was operating her 2012 Toyota Rav4 southbound when a deer entered the roadway from the east side and was struck. Sgt. Matthew Day was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 14, an accident occurred on Gardiner Road in Dresden involving Lorelie B. Bilugan, 47, of Woolwich. Bilugan was operating her 2011 Toyota Rav4 northbound when a deer jumped out and hit the front of her vehicle. Deputy Chubbuck was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 16, an accident occurred on Pleasant Cove Road in Boothbay involving Page W. Brown, 16, of Boothbay. Brown was operating her 2005 Nissan Murano northbound when her vehicle slid on the icy and sandy roadway. Brown then overcorrected, causing her vehicle to cross the centerline and enter the southbound ditch. Her vehicle rolled over several times, coming to rest by Neighba Lane. Deputy Jonathan Colby was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 17, an accident occurred on Benner Road in Bristol involving Ashley L. Miller, 23, of Bristol. Miller was operating her 2005 Subaru Forester eastbound when she lost control of her vehicle rounding a corner due to icy/snowy road conditions. Miller then overcorrected, causing her vehicle to go off the right side of the roadway and into a ditch. Her vehicle then struck a guy wire, which caused a Central Maine Power Co. pole to snap off and break in half. Deputy 1st Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 18, an accident occurred on Cedar Grove Road in Dresden involving Alexander D. Howard, 16, of Pittston. Howard was operating his 1998 Subaru Legacy southbound when, due to slushy/icy road conditions, he lost control of his vehicle. His vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree. Deputy 1st Class Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 19, an accident occurred on Middle Road in Dresden involving James B. Peterson, 55, of Dresden, and Stephen Caswell, 26, of Richmond. Peterson was operating his 2010 Ford F-150 westbound on Middle Road. Caswell was entering Middle Road from Recycle Court Road in his 2003 Ford F-550 and failed to notice Peterson’s vehicle. As a result, Caswell pulled out and struck Peterson’s vehicle. Deputy Gilbert was the investigating officer.
