The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 259 calls for service for the period of May 7-14. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 6,026 calls for service.
May 9, Jakob T. Crabtree, 20, of Waldoboro, was issued summonses for operating under the influence (drugs or combination), unlawful possession of scheduled drug (class D), and unlawful possession of scheduled drug (class E), on Boothbay Road, Edgecomb, by Deputy Chase Bosse.
May 8, Jacenta R. Sencabaugh, 38, of Bristol, was arrested for domestic violence assault, on Split Rock Road, Bristol, by Deputy Jonathan Colby.
May 8, Roman I. Petersen, 34, of Edgecomb, was arrested for operating under the influence, on Middle Road, Edgecomb, by Deputy Caleb Poirier.
May 8, Vincent P. Maltese, 54, of Jefferson, was arrested for violating condition of release, on Augusta Road, Jefferson, by Transport Deputy James Read.
May 10, Katherine A. Lizotte, 34, of Newcastle, was arrested for operating under the influence, on Pond Road, Newcastle, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.
On May 7, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Boothbay involving Tod D. Widdecomb, 46, of South Thomaston, and Jessica D. Stover, 40, of Boothbay. Widdecomb was operating his 2009 Chevrolet 3500 southbound and making a left-hand turn onto Industrial Park Road. Stover was also traveling southbound in her 2013 Chevrolet Malibu, behind Widdecomb’s vehicle, when she failed to stop and hit the rear of his vehicle. Deputy Ryan Chubbuck was the investigating officer.
On May 8, an accident occurred on Bunker Hill Road in Jefferson involving Gabriel E. Hunt, 20, of Jefferson. Hunt was operating his 2017 Yamaha motorcycle southbound when he advised that he attempted to pass a car (on the left) and lost control while doing so. He estimated he was traveling 55-60 mph in a posted 45-mph zone. Detective Scott Hayden was the investigating officer.
On May 8, an accident occurred on Coggins Road in Bristol involving Kathleen A. Shattuck, 70, of Newcastle, and Frances L. Mercanti-Anthony, 41, of Bristol. Mercanti-Anthony was operating her 2017 Honda Accord northbound on Route 32 when she stopped to make a left turn onto Coggins Road. Shattuck was also traveling northbound behind Mercanti-Anthony in her 2015 Subaru when she failed to stop in time and struck the rear of Mercanti-Anthony’s vehicle. Deputy 1st Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
On May 9, an accident occurred on Boothbay Road in Edgecomb involving Jakob T. Crabtree, 20, of Waldoboro. Crabtree was operating his 2009 Toyota Corolla southbound when he crossed the centerline, then left the roadway on the left and drove into the ditch. He then reentered the roadway, drove approximately 100 feet south in the southbound travel lane, and stopped in the middle of the roadway. Deputy Bosse was the investigating officer.
On May 10, an accident occurred on Pond Road in Newcastle involving Katherine A. Lizotte, 34, of Newcastle. Lizotte was operating her 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer southbound when she lost control of her vehicle, causing her to drift off the road, strike a rock wall, and continue into a tree. Deputy Dennison was the investigating officer.
On May 11, an accident occurred on South Clary Road in Jefferson involving Clara Fagan, 78, of Jefferson. Fagan was operating her 2005 Subaru Impreza northbound when she saw a deer enter the roadway from the southbound ditch. The deer crossed the southbound lane and struck the front driver’s side of her vehicle. Deputy Dennison was the investigating officer.
On May 11, an accident occurred on East River Road in Whitefield involving Mary L. Smith, 76, of Whitefield. Smith was operating her 2014 Honda CRV northbound when she saw a deer enter the roadway from the northbound ditch and strike her vehicle. Deputy Dennison was the investigating officer.
On May 12, an accident occurred on Main Road on Westport Island involving Samantha J. Davis, 25, of Wiscasset. Davis was operating her 2013 Chevrolet Cruze northbound when a deer ran out and struck her vehicle. Deputy Chubbuck was the investigating officer.
