Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 305 calls for service for the period of June 11-18. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 7,523 calls for service.
June 11, Olivia T. Coniam, 23, of Alna, was issued a summons for domestic violence assault, on West Alna Road, Alna, by Deputy Andrew Miner, who was assisted by Sgt. Matthew Day.
June 12, Elmer E. Warren, 49, of Dresden, was issued a summons for violation of condition of release, on Amy Circle, Dresden, by Detective Sgt. Ronald Rollins.
June 17, Lucia Nielsen, 22, of Hopkinton, N.H., was issued a uniform summons and complaint for failure to report a motor vehicle accident and a violation summons and complaint for failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle, on Route 1, Newcastle, by Deputy Caleb Poirier.
June 17, John D. Dow, 34, of Nobleboro, was issued a summons for operating beyond license restrictions/permissions, on Main Street, Newcastle, by Sgt. Mark Bridgham.
June 11, Allen Z.W. Simmons, 29, of Alna, was arrested for domestic violence assault, on West Alna Road, Alna, by Deputy Miner, who was assisted by Sgt. Day.
June 12, Alton Lane Jr., 19, of Wiscasset, was arrested on an Androscoggin County warrant for violation of bail, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Poirier.
June 13, Matthew A. Plummer, 36, of Westport Island, was arrested for violating condition of release, on Bay Shore Road, Westport Island, by Deputy Jonathan Colby.
June 14, Sally B. Ingram, 47, of Bremen, was arrested for operating while license is suspended or revoked – prior, refusing to submit to arrest or detention, and failure to provide correct name, address, and date of birth, on Atlantic Highway, Waldoboro, by Deputy David Bellows.
June 15, Jacob J. Warman, 32, of Dresden, was arrested for violating condition of release and unlawful possession of scheduled drug, on Cedar Grove Road, Dresden, by Deputy Chase Bosse.
June 16, Scott W. Norwood, 29, of Trevett, was arrested for violating protective order, on Hendricks Hill Road, Southport, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.
June 17, Maurice L. Hyson, 39, of Jefferson, was arrested for possession of firearm by prohibited person, on North Clary Road, Jefferson, by Deputy Chad Gilbert.
June 17, Patricia Jacques, 50, of Alna, was arrested for operating under the influence (no test), refusing to submit to arrest or detention, and assault, on Cross Road, Alna, by Deputy Ryan Chubbuck, who was assisted by Detective Terry Michaud. Deputy Chubbuck also issued Jacques a summons for the Augusta Police Department for leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
On June 11, an accident occurred on Washington Road in Jefferson involving William B. Bourgeois, 59, of Washington. Bourgeois was operating his 2016 Ford Focus southbound when a deer crossed the road in front of him, striking the passenger side of his vehicle in the area of the front door and headlight. Deputy Poirier was the investigating officer.
On June 13, an accident occurred on River Road in Dresden involving Brandon J. Woodward, 29, of Richmond. Woodward was operating his 2004 Chevrolet Aveo northbound when he fell asleep. As a result, his vehicle left the roadway on the left side, where the driver’s side mirror impacted a mailbox. His vehicle then crossed the roadway and left on the right side, where the front of his vehicle impacted the ditch. Deputy Bellows was the investigating officer.
On June 13, an accident occurred on Ridge Road in Newcastle involving Barbara A. Lane, 31, of Newcastle. Lane was operating her 2015 Toyota RAV4 southbound when she took her eyes off the road for a moment, causing her vehicle to leave the right side of the roadway and strike a stone wall. Deputy Bellows was the investigating officer.
On June 13, an accident occurred on Turner Road in Bremen involving John F. Emerson, 63, of Nobleboro. Emerson attempted to back up his 2007 GMC pickup truck when he failed to see a large tree stump in a yard. As a result, he ran over the stump, causing major damage to the undercarriage of his vehicle. Sgt. Bridgham was the investigating officer.
On June 14, an accident occurred on Goose Hill Road in Jefferson involving Wayne J. Firth, 50, of Jefferson. Firth was operating his 2019 moped westbound when he entered the eastbound ditch, overcorrected, and returned to the eastbound lane. He then continued across the centerline, entered the westbound lane, and went into the westbound ditch. Upon entering the ditch, his moped rolled onto the left side. Deputy Dennison was the investigating officer.
On June 14, an accident occurred on Boothbay Road in Edgecomb involving Anthony G. Squillante, 64, of Boothbay. Squillante was operating his 2014 Jeep Patriot southbound when a deer entered the roadway and was struck. Reserve Deputy Michael Elwell was the investigating officer.
On June 14, an accident occurred on Cedar Grove Road in Dresden involving Richard L. Shaw, 60, of Pittston. Shaw was operating his 2018 Nissan Frontier northbound when he saw a deer enter the roadway from the westbound ditch and was struck. Deputy Dennison was the investigating officer.
On June 16, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Rebecca S. Emerson, 43, of Deer Isle. Emerson was operating her 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee northbound when a deer crossed the roadway in front of her vehicle and was struck, causing serious damage to the front. Deputy Poirier was the investigating officer.
On June 17, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Whitefield involving Philippa M. Beal, 73, of Jefferson. Beal was operating her 2009 Toyota Camry southbound when she fell asleep. As a result, her vehicle went off the road on the left side and struck a tree, then reentered the roadway, where it came to final rest. Deputy Colby was the investigating officer.
