Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 343 calls for service for the period of Nov. 5-19. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 15,525 calls for service.
Summons
Nov. 16, Alexander V. Hibbard, 18, of Dresden, was issued a summons for operating vehicle without license, on McKay Road, Edgecomb, by Deputy 1st Class Brian Collamore.
Arrests
Nov. 9, Jason Ladd, 35, of Wiscasset, was arrested on two Franklin County warrants for unpaid fines, on Bath Road, Wiscasset, by Sgt. Jared Mitkus.
Nov. 10, Ronnie Russomano, 45, of Winthrop, was arrested for violating condition of release, on Ice Pond Road, Boothbay, by Sgt. Mitkus, who was assisted by Deputy Andrew Miner.
Nov. 13, Kayla Smith, 30, of Newcastle, was arrested for aggravated assault, domestic violence assault, and assault, on Bunker Hill Road, Newcastle, by Deputy Miner, who was assisted by Deputy Jonathan Colby.
Nov. 14, Caitlyn N. Jennings, 27, of Boothbay, was arrested for domestic violence assault, on West Side Road, Boothbay, by Deputy Caleb Fortin.
Nov. 14, James A. Forbis, 36, of Buxton, was arrested for violating condition of release, on Vigue Road, Whitefield, by Detective Sgt. Ronald Rollins.
Accidents
On Nov. 12, an accident occurred on Alna Road in Alna involving Misty A. Brown, 38, of Edgecomb. Brown was operating her 2007 Toyota Camry southbound when she lost control of her vehicle, causing her to strike a guardrail and proceed down over an embankment. Sgt. Matthew Day was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 12, an accident occurred on Middle Road in Dresden involving Andrew T. Call, 52, of Dresden. Call was operating his 2006 Toyota Tacoma northbound, too fast for the icy road conditions, when he lost control of his vehicle. He traveled into the other lane and then off the road, where his vehicle eventually rolled over. Deputy Scott Peterson was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 13, an accident occurred on Middle Road in Edgecomb involving Zacharias M. Rankin, 24, of Wiscasset. Rankin was operating his 2003 Mazda Protege northbound when his vehicle began to slide. As a result, he went off the road on the right and struck a tree. His vehicle then went down the embankment and came to rest. Deputy Colby was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 13, an accident occurred on Middle Road in Dresden involving Peter J. Seymour, 61, of Randolph. Seymour was operating his 2007 Toyota Camry northbound when a deer entered the roadway from the east side and struck the front driver’s side corner of his vehicle. Deputy Miner was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 13, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Boothbay involving Catherine A. Nutt, 66, of Portland. Nutt was operating her 2019 Jeep northbound when a deer ran across the road and was struck by the front right corner of her vehicle. Deputy Peterson was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 13, an accident occurred on River Road in Boothbay involving Jamie Lee M. Bailey, 37, of Alna. Bailey was operating her 2008 Saturn Aura southbound when a deer came across the roadway and was struck. Deputy Peterson was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 15, an accident occurred on Goose Hill Road in Jefferson involving Hunter S. Brown, 18, of Union. Brown was operating his 2006 Pontiac G6 southbound when his vehicle went off the road and entered the southbound ditch. Sgt. Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 15, an accident occurred on Pond Road in Newcastle involving Daryl P. Leeman, 48, of Jefferson. Leeman was operating his 2016 Freightliner northbound on Pond Road, rounding a curve. Due to black ice on the roadway and the road being unsanded, Leeman lost traction. His vehicle then crossed the centerline and went off the left side of the roadway and into a ditch, where it rolled over and came to rest on its roof/cargo body. Deputy 1st Class Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 15, an accident occurred on Route 129 in South Bristol involving Madison C. Mardoian, 18, of South Bristol. Mardoian was operating her 2013 Volkswagen Passat northbound when a deer came from the left side. Mardoian saw the deer and braked, however, the vehicle continued forward due to ice and hit the deer. Deputy Sean Pfahler was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 15, an accident occurred on Mills Road in Newcastle involving Christina Cash, 47, of Nobleboro. Cash was operating her 2013 Nissan Pathfinder northbound when a deer entered the left side of the road and attempted to cross the road in front of her vehicle. As a result, the front passenger corner of her vehicle struck the deer. Deputy David Bellows was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 16, an accident occurred on McKay Road in Edgecomb involving Alexander V. Hibbard, 18, of Dresden. Hibbard was operating his 2002 Jeep Liberty eastbound and, due to driver inexperience, he lost control and crossed the centerline before overcorrecting and going off the right side of the roadway. His vehicle then rolled over and came to rest back on its wheels. Deputy 1st Class Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 17, an accident occurred on Mills Road in Whitefield involving Glenn M. Lewis, 63, of Waldoboro, and Phillip J. Gilbert, 18, of Whitefield. Lewis was operating his 1985 Toyota Celica eastbound on Rockland Road and Gilbert was operating his 2002 Ford Escape northbound on Mills Road. Gilbert attempted to cross Rockland Road in front of Lewis’ vehicle and, as a result, the front driver’s corner of Gilbert’s vehicle impacted the rear passenger corner of Lewis’ vehicle. Deputy Bellows was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 17, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Nobleboro involving Frederick N. Whitehill, 32, of Warren. Whitehill was operating his 2013 Chevrolet Malibu northbound when a deer came from the left side of his vehicle and was struck. Deputy Pfahler was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 18, an accident occurred on South Clary Road in Jefferson involving Melissa A. Lewandowski, 39, of Jefferson. Lewandowski was operating a 2016 Jeep Compass northbound when a deer attempted to cross the road and was struck, causing damage to the front driver’s corner of the vehicle. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 18, an accident occurred on Barters Island Road in Boothbay involving Gary D. Lewis, 70, of Boothbay Harbor. Lewis was operating his 2016 Ford Edge northbound when a deer ran into the roadway and was struck. Deputy 1st Class Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 18, an accident occurred on Gardiner Road in Dresden involving Alexander V. Copeland, 21, of Waldoboro. Copeland was operating his Ford Crown Victoria northbound when he lost control of his vehicle on the ice-covered roadway and struck a guardrail. Reserve Deputy Michael Elwell was the investigating officer.
