C. Field improvement job to be completed, “As soon as possible”
D. References from similar size projects to be attached to your bid.
E. Certifi cate of Insurance, to be included with your bid.
F. Bids to be opened on Monday July 24, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at the Office of the Superintendent, located at 51 Emery Lane, Boothbay Harbor, ME 04538
G. The Superintendent of Schools and or the members of the Board of Trustees, reserve the right to waive all formalities,
and to reject any and all bids (and to accept any bid)
Field information
This bid is for upgrading the current fi eld area south of the Tennis Courts located between Sherman Field and Perkins Field
approximately 130’ x 300’ +/-
1. Cut subgrade at least 8 inches on the high side, and use to slope edge on low side.
2. If any large rocks are observed within one foot of the finish grade, they will be removed.
3. All fi ll to be of a clean sand/clay mix. This mix will have no large rocks that would potentially push up through the new
field area.
4. Once subgrade is prepped, the complete area will be rolled and compacted, in order to prevent settling as much as possible.
5. Blend grades allowing no more than ½ inch per foot in any direction.
6. Outside edge will be sloped at a 2:1 slope, to allow for as much usable field space as possible, add stapled hay-matt, on
the slope.
7. Once subgrade is completed, spread 6 inches of screened loam over entire work area.
8. Hydro-seed complete work area.
9. Complete all Erosion Control measures as needed.
10. Once the project is completed, you will set a couple of large stones at the entrance of the field area, to prevent vehicle traffic from entering the new fi eld project location.
11. Complete all necessary Dig Safe requirements, and follow all OSHA Safety Standards.
12. Provide Workmanship Warranty information.
13. Provide hourly labor rates for all work to be completed for any additional change orders.
