In January, Science Club students worked with presenters Jim Parmentier and Fred Cichocki to learn about owls, dissect owl pellets, and identify and reassemble bones found in the owl pellets. Some of the students were able to put together almost an entire rodent from the bones. Students were also able to analyze bones under a microscope and project the images onto a computer screen.
The next Science Club meeting is Monday, Feb. 13.

Congratulations to Edgecomb Eddy sixth graders Madison Phelps and Brynna Nelson, who traveled to Atlanta recently to participate in this year’s 2017 iTheatrics Junior Theater Festival. Both girls are members of the Boothbay Region Y-Arts group, winning a Freddie G Award for Outstanding Ensemble.
This is Madison’s first year with the group, while Brynna is in her third year. The girls’ highlights of the trip include being able to step outside in short sleeves and getting to watch some of the professional performers.
