Great Salt Bay Community School, at 559 Main St. in Damariscotta, will hold its final Christmas tree sale and cutting on Sunday, Dec. 2 from noon-3 p.m.
Kindergarten students have been planting trees with the help of older students for many years at Great Salt Bay. The success of the school’s agricultural program and its need for additional garden space, as well as the decreased productivity of the tree farm soil, will make this the school’s last year to sell Christmas trees.
One may come by and pick out a tree and either reserve it to cut later or take it away at the time. All trees are $25. Proceeds will go to benefit the eighth-grade class trip to Boston in June.
