Welcome to 2018! As we approach the middle of the year, we will be conducting our progress testing of students during the month of January. Students will take a reading (kindergarten through eighth grade) and math (second through eighth grade) assessment called the NWEA, which they take at the beginning, middle, and end of the year for progress monitoring and achievement results. This assessment gives us valuable information on where to direct our efforts to assist students. Please encourage your student(s) to rest up, eat a good breakfast, and try their best — that’s all we ask!
Stay warm and safe out there!
Coat drive
It is cold out there! People are asked to please consider donating an extra coat and other winter gear to help keep JVS children warm. Donations can be dropped off at the school office.
Snowball Mixer Dance
All sixth- through eighth-grade students are invited to the Snowball Mixer Dance on Saturday, Jan. 20 from 6-9 p.m. It is an optional semiformal dance. The cost is $5 and concessions will be sold, all to support the JVS eighth-grade class.
