Syed “Sammy” Zaidi receives his diploma at Wheaton College.
Syed “Sammy” Osama Ali Zaidi, a Class of 2014 alumnus of Lincoln Academy in Newcastle, graduated magna cum laude from Wheaton College, in Norton, Mass. He double-majored in film and new media studies, and political science. He was inducted into the political science honor society in March. The commencement ceremony was on May 19.
Zaidi was involved in student government, chairing the College Hearing Board. He was a head residential advisor during his senior year, serving as a resident advisor all four years on campus.
Sen. George J. Mitchell spoke to the graduates on the occasion.
