The 13th annual Boothbay Region YMCA 3-on-3 basketball tournament will be held March 13 and 14 at the Marylouise Tandy Cowan field house. The tournament is double elimination. There are five age divisions for both males and females.
The schedule is as follows:
March 13 – Grades 9-10 check in 5:30-6 p.m., and Grades 11-12, check in 6-6:30 p.m.
March 14 – Grades 3-4 check in 8-8:30 a.m., Grades 5-6 check in 8:30-9 a.m.; and Grades 7-8 check in 9-9:30 a.m.
The entry fee is $60 per team. The YMCA recommends four players per team in case of an injury or ejection.
All fees include a t-shirt for each team member. Trophies or medals will be awarded for champions, second, and third place winners in each division.
Spectators are welcome. Admission is $2 for adults and $1 for students. A snack bar will be open throughout the tournament. For more information, call 633-2855, of fax 733-6865.
