Three Boothbay athletes medalled at the State Class C track and field championships held at Foxcroft Academy June 7. Morgan Crocker medalled in two events, and had a top 10 finish in four.
Crocker placed third in the triple jump (33’6″), and took fifth in the 300 hurdles in 50.86. She placed eighth in the 100 hurdles in 17.42 and ninth in the long jump (14’6.5″).
Kyle Alamo placed sixth in the 1600m racewalk in 8:27. Abel Bryer took seventh in the javelin (138’3″).
Robert Campbell was top 10 in the 3200 taking ninth in 10:37. Boothbay boys placed tenth in the 4×400 with Richard Hasch, Howie Carter, Joey Paolillo, and Bennett Scully.
Wiscasset freshman Gabby Chapman just missed a top 10 finish in the long jump, placing 11th (14’5″).
Wiscasset athletes qualifying were Chapman (high jump),a nd Nate Austin (shot put).
Other Boothbay female athletes qualifying for the state meet, were Sinead Miller (100 and 300 hurldes), Samantha Carter (racewalk), Hannah Morley (800, 1600), Angie Perkins (300 hurdles), Hannah Brewer (high jump, long jump), and Lisa Pawlowski and Angie Perkins in the high jump. Seahawk boys who qualified and competed were Morgen Wilson (racewalk), Scully (800, 1600), Paolillo (1600, 3200), Howie Carter (400), Hasch (400) and Bryer (discus).
