Boothbay defeated Wiscasset 8th grade boys in the Busline League championship on Saturday at Boothbay, 53-50 in overtime. John Hepburn put Boothbay up by three with two seconds left in OT. Wiscasset inbounded the ball and Daren Wood sank the tying 3-point shot before the buzzer. After a conference with the scorekeeper, Officials decided that Wiscasset could not have had enough time to get the shot off, so they did not count the basket, handing the win to Boothbay.
