Boothbay Regions Faith Blethem ran to a South Class C Regional cross country championship on Sat., Oct. 29 at Twin Brook Recreation in Cumberland. Blethen finished the course in 21:11, three seconds ahead of second place finisher Alexandra Hammerton of St. Doms.
Boothbay boys placed third to qualify for the State meet to be held in Belfast on Nov. 5. Three runners medalled in the top 10, including Wiscasset senior Brandon Goud, who placed 7th in 18:06. Boothbay’s Kyle Ames was 9th in 18:70 and Blake Erhard 10th in 18:33. Also running for the Seahawks were: 22. Will Perkins, 19:22; 25. Rowan Kristan, 19:33; 27. Bayley Gaughan-Carrasco, 19:36; 31. Sam Betts, 19:49, and 44. Will LaBrecque.
