Boothbay Region cross country boys and girls ran to victory at Medomak Valley on Friday. Medomak placed second and Oceanside third in both boys and girls action.
Panther Daniel Bubar won the boys race in 18:11, beating out Boothbay’s Kyle Ames by 14 seconds. Boothbay boys scored 26 points, followed by Medomak, 39, and Oceanside, 67.
Rounding out Boothbay’s scoring five were 3. Matt Burnham, 18:40; 4. Erhard Blake, 19:30; 8. Bayle Gaughan-Carrasco, 21:15; and 9. Sam Betts, 21:28. Also running for Boothbay were: 10. Will Le Brecque, 21:29. 11. Shane Johnson, 21:31; 12. Morgan Wilson, 21:55; and 16. Sam Burnham, 23:51.
Deagan Poland ran to a fifth place finish for Medomak in 20:51, followed by 6. Isaiah Potter, 21:08; 14. Tyler Bowman, 22:50; 15. Andrew Cronk, 23:10; and 20. Drew Bubar, 24:49.
Lady Seahawk Faith Blethem took first in 19:56, beating out Boothbay teammate Hannah Morely (21:11). Also running for Boothbay were 4. Loren Genrich, 24:20; 5. Kate Friant, 24:28; and 10. Lincoln Hamblett, 25:42.
Medomak was led by Acadia Calderwood, who placed sixth in 24:37. Also running for the Lady Panthers were 7. Abby Griffin, 24:41; 9. Jill van der Schaff, 25:41; 13. Krista Hooper, 26:03; and 14. Rayanne Leach, 26:26.
