The Medomak Valley Girls basketball team upset John Bapst 54-36, in the Bangor Auditorium Wednesday afternoon, clinching a spot in the East B Final.
After a closely contested first half, Medomak Valley outscored John Bapst 29-15 in the second half to seal the victory.
It is believed this will be the Lady Panthers’ basketball team’s first appearance in an East B title game.
Third seed Medomak (18-2) was led by scorers Alanna Vose, with 18 points; Ericka Christensen with 14 and Lindsay Ranquist, 10. Number two seed John Bapst finished the season 16-4.
The Panthers return to the Bangor Auditorium Sat., Feb. 26 to play for the Regional championship against the winner of the Nokomis-Presque Isle semi-final. Tip off in the title game Saturday is 2 p.m.
