Dolphin Mini Golf, owned by the Lee Stoddard family in Boothbay, will be hosting their 20th annual Maine State Dolphin Open on Sept. 7 and 8 to raise funds for the Shriners Hospital for Crippled and Burned Children.
Over $3000 in cash prizes, gift certificates and prizes will be given away during the two day tournament in Boothbay. First place is a $1000 cash prize.
The entry fee is $75. All entrants are eligible for the hole-in-one on hole 18, a $100 drawing. A Poker Run will be held Sunday, Sept. 8 at 10 a.m. (cost $5).
Dolphin Mini Golf has raised $82,451 in their first 18 years of hosting the event.
The 18 hole mini golf course is ranked in the top 10 in the country, and is known for its nautical theme. It features a lighthouse, covered bridge with shell museum, arcade, ice cream hut, gardens, pools, and streams.
