The Lincoln County Eagle high school football team opened their season with a 28-0 win over the Caribou Huskies on Saturday at Great Salt Bay School. Stefan Nichols scored two touchdowns and Travis Creamer and Chris Tilas one each.
“Joe O’Donnell and Tilas led the defense in tackles. Tyler Ward, in his very first game ever, played outstanding defense,” coach Gary Gravel said.
The Eagles moved the ball 237 yards, led by Creamer with 96 yards, and Tilas 66 yards, including a 50-yard pass from Creamer. Creamer and Chris Gove shared quarterback duties in the win.
