Lincoln Academy softball rallied from behind to beat Medomak Valley 4-3 on May 27. Abby Farrin (8K,1B,7H) won the pitcher’s dual with Gabby DePatsy (10K,0B,3H). Down 3-1 going into the sixth inning, Lincoln rallied for three runs on two errors, a RBI triple to Chloe Hallowell (who scored on a throwing error) and a RBI single to Farrin. Medomak Hannah Watmough and Casey Wagner led off the seventh with singles, but the Eagles left them stranded with three straight outs. The defensive play of the game came in the fifth inning when Medomak had runners on second and third and one out. Hallowell caught a fly ball in center field and rifled a throw to Eagle catcher Miranda Achorn to get Hallie Kunesh out at the plate.
Medomak baseball pounded the ball to beat the Eagles 15-5 by five inning mercy ruling. Lincoln jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first, before Medomak batted around in the second to score eight runs. Nick DePatsy collected the win (4K,6H,1B) and Spencer Weiss took the loss. Meodmak was led at the plate by DePatsy with a double and 2 singles, Brwon with 2 singles (3RBI), and Madden with a double (3 RBI).
