Lincoln Academy boys’ basketball team crushed Oak Hill 95-38 Dec. 28 in Sabattus. The Eagles soared to a 24-0 lead, before the Raiders got on the boards with 40 seconds to play in the 1st quarter on a basket from Kyle Field. Travis Creamer hit back-to-back threes to put Lincoln up 30-2 at the quarter break.
Both teams netted 23 points in a fast paced second quarter. Lincoln held a 14-4 advantage in the 3rd and 28-9 advantage in the 4th to win by a landslide. Lincoln’s bench scored 63 points in the win.
Scoring for the Eagles were Creamer 17 (3R), Ryley Leavitt 11 (3R), Devin Scherer 11 (3R,4S,6A), Jalen Lincoln 11 (10S,3R,3A), Seward Matel 9 (5R,2S,8A), Caleb Farrin 8 (4R,2B), John Riley 6, Bo McLain 6 (4R,3S), Dylan Leavitt 6 (6R,2S,2B), Merritt Wotton 4 (4R,2S), Tom Masters 2, Luke Bibber 2 (3R), and Sawyer Pinkham 2.
Scoring for Oak Hill were Sam Morin 10, Parker Asselin 9, Brady Dion 9, Andrew Whitehouse 3, Charles Little 2, Kyle Field 2, Alex Mace 2 and Brandon Catlin 1.
“It was one of our better all around games. The starters had better more balanced scoring. Free throws hurt us, and certain glitches,” coach Chris McKenney said.
Scoring for the Eagles were Lincoln 15 (11R,6A), D. Leavitt 12 (7R), R. Leavitt 9 (10R), Nic Phinney 8 (5R), McLain 8 and Wotton 3. Scoring for Nokomis were Ethan Pearl 14, Spencer Hartsgrove 13, Andrew Cartwright 12, Devin Chambers 12, Austin Chipman 8 and Ruel Libby 7.
