The Lincoln County High School Eagle football team hammered Buckfield 80-6 on Saturday on the road. The Eagles scored eight touchdowns in the win, and only allowed Buckfield to register one first down the entire game.
Chris Tilas scored two touchdowns on interceptions, the first on a 14-yard run and the second on a 41-yard run.
Stefan Nichols scored two touchdowns on a 43-yard run and 22-yard pass reception for Chris Gove. Cy Miller scored on a three yard catch from Gove; Travis Creamer on a five yard catch, and Joe O’Donnell on a 15 yard run.
Dillon Nutta, James Grover and Derek Woodbury scored two point conversions. Creamer kicked three extra points. Rushing leaders were Nichols with 105, Tilas 80, Creamer 76 and TJ Harriman 62. Gove threw for 110 yards and Woodbury 46.
Defensively, Tilas had to interceptions for touchdowns, Tyler Ward had a fumble recovery on a ball stripped by Andrew Gallace, and Lucas Bickford, O’Donnell and Tilas registered sacks. James Grover, Ken Snyder and O’Donnell led in tackles.
The Eagles play home at Great Salt Bay School on Sat., Sept. 17 at 1 p.m.
