Lincoln Academy boys’ and girls’ swim teams stroked to victory at Gardiner on Dec. 16. Lincoln girls won with 91 points, Gardiner 38 and Wiscasset 34.
Kara Mullin won the 200 free in 2:17 and the 100 fly in 1:11. Heidi Ziegra won the 50 free in 30.96 and the 100 breast in 1:19. Olivia Pennington won the 500 free in 6:18 and the 100 back in 1:10. Holly Stegna was second in the 100 fly in 1:26 and fourth in the 200 free in 2:45. Valeska Vaughn was second in the 200 IM in 2:51 and third in the 500 free in 6:36. Miranda Boe took second in the 200 IM in 3:15 and fifth in the 100 free in 1:21. Carolyn MacDonald was second in the 100 back in 1:23 and third in the 100 free in 1:10. Emily Whitaker was third in the 100 breast in 1:44. Cassie Leeman placed fourth in the 50 free in 34.5.
The Lady Eagles won all three relays, the 200 medley in 2:14 with MacDonald, Pennington, Ziegra and Vaughn, the 200 free in 2:01 with Mullin, MacDonald, Stegna and Ziegra, and the 400 free in 4:30 with Mullin, Stegna, Pennington and Vaughn.
Sarah Hanley won the 100 free for Wiscasset in 1:06 and was second in the 200 free in 2:31. Julia West was second in the 100 free in 1:07 and third in the 200 free in 2:34. Maeve Carlson was third in the 50 free in 34.23 and fifth in the 100 breast in 1:48. Alyssa Urquhart took fourth in the 500 free in 8:27 and fifth in the 50 free in 35.21. Abby Foster was fourth in the 100 breast in 1:46.
Wiscasset placed second in the 200 free relay in 2:11 with Carlson, Foster, West and Hanley, and second in the 400 free relay with West, Urquhart, Carlson and Hanley.
Lincoln Academy boys won with 46 points, nipping Wiscasset by two points. Gardiner was third with 15. Will Hadden won two events for the Eagles, the 200 free in 2:04 and the 100 free in 54.12. Griffin Han-Lalime won the 100 fly in 1:18 and was second in the 100 breast in 1:28. Luke Levesque was fourth in the 50 free in 33.86 and 100 back in 1:42. Forrest Meader took fourth in the 100 free in 1:22 and 100 breast in 1:44. Mat Poland placed fifth in the 50 free in 37.91 and 100 back in 1:57. Lincoln won the 200 free relay in 2:03 with Han-Lalime, Josh Richards, Meader, and Hadden.
Matt Mills won two events for Wiscasset, the 50 free in 30.44 and the 100 breast in 1:26. Ryan Hanley won the 100 back in 1:08 and the 100 free in 56.26. Camden Reiss was third in the 50 free in 32.67 and 100 breast in 1:28. Kyle Viele was third in the 100 back in 1:40 and fifth in the 100 free in 1:32.
Wiscasset won the 200 medley relay in 2:23 with Viele, Milles, Hanley and Riess, and were second in the 200 free relay in 2:10 with the same four swimmers.
