Robert Gomez, 27, of Saco and formerly of Waldoboro, set a new course record in the Waldoboro Day 5K in 16:47. The previous record was set in 2010. Heidi Harris was the first female finisher in 25:19. Twenty-two runners competed in the race, held in near perfect running conditions.
