The Lincoln Academy men’s alumni game took on a different look this season, when the LA boys played Boothbay in a scrimmage instead of playing the traditional Alumni game.
Twenty-five men showed up for the Alumni game, and divided into two teams, Black and White. The White team rallied in the second 20-minute period to win by a basket, 69-66.
The two teams were tied 27-27 at the half. White scored the first 11 points of the second half to pull ahead for good. Black pulled within three several times in the closing minutes of the game, but were unable to catch the White team.
A book was not kept on the game, so the following account is un-official. Scoring for White were EJ Maynard 13 (9R,2B), Luke Alley 11 (5R,1S), Elliot Pope 9 (6R), Chris Carter 8 (5R), Gage Peaslee 6 (3R,1S), Brent Rainey 5, Kyle Scherer 3 (6R), and Jason McKenney (4R,4S), Buzz Pinkham (3R), Ethan Wajer, Wayne Farrin and Brandon Reilly 2 (5R) each. Also playing for White was Erroll Clark.
Scoring for Black were Jon Teel 13, Ben McLain 12 (7R), Ben Buckland 7, Adam Wheeler 6 (8R), Brad Sewall 6 (3R), Andrew Feltis 6 (6R), Kyle Feltis 5 (5R), and Jon Pinkham (2S), Dave Prior (6R), Shawn Wyman (4R, 2S) and Tyler Cyr 2 each. Also playing for Black were Harvey McFarland (5R), Mike Harrington (5R) and Dave Mason (5R).
