Lincoln Academy girls and Wiscasset boys won their final home swim meet of the season Tuesday night. The highlight of the meet was the 100 butterfly, where three records fell. Ross Hanley set a new Wiscasset record in 57.42, LA’s Will Hadden broke Sylas Hatch’s fly record in 59.06, and Heidi Ziegra broke her own fly mark in 1:08.77.
The Lady Eagles also broke the 400 free record in 4:04.13 with Ziegra, Gretchen Konitzky, Valeska Vaughn and Kara Mullin. Mullin won the 200 free in 2:11 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:19.
Vaughn won the 50 free in .27 and the 500 free in 6:29. Ziegra won the 200 IM in 2:27 and 100 fly. Olivia Pennington won the 100 back and was second in the 100 fly. Konitzky won the 100 free in 1:02.
Olivia Delisle was 2nd in the 100 breast and 4th in the 50 free. Holly Stegna took 2nd in the 100 free. Carolyn MacDonald was 3rd in the 200 IM and 100 back. Miranda Boe was 3rd in the 200 free. Lincoln also won the 200 medley relay in 2:17 with MacDonald, Delisle, Stegna and Pennington, and the 200 free relay in 1:50 with Ziegra, Delisle, Konitzky and Mullin.
Sarah Hanley took second for WHS girls in the 50 free and was 4th in the 100 back. Abby Foster was 4th in the 100 free, Alyssa Urquhart 5th in the 100 free and 100 breast, and Syd Morin 6th in the 50 free.
Wiscasset boys won the 200 medley relay in 2:00 with Ross and Ryan Hanley, John McLeod and Ryan Urquhart, won the 200 free relay in 1:45 with the Hanley boys, Josh Delong and McLeod, and 400 free relay in 4:47 with Thomas Beutler, Campbell, DeLong and Matt Mills.
Ross Hanley won the 100 fly in 57.42 and 100 back in 1:04. McLeod won the 50 free in 23.37 and the 100 breast in 1:11. Ryan Hanley won the 100 free in 56.74 and was 2nd in the 100 breast. Urquhart won the 200 IM and was 3rd in the 100 back. Campbell won the 200 free in 2:27 and was 3rd in the 100 free. Beutler was 2nd in the 200 free and 6th in the 100 free. DeLong was 3rd in the 50 free and 5th in the 100 free. Mills took 5th in the 50 free.
Lincoln Academy’s Hadden was second in his record butterfly heat and took 2nd in the 100 free. Josh Andrews was 2nd in the 200 IM. Luke Levesque took 3rd in the 200 free, Nate Friant placed 2nd in the 100 back and 4th in the 50 free. Griffin Han-Lalime was 4th in the 100 free, Mat Poland 4th in the 100 back, Andrew Arter 4th in the 100 breast, and Tyler Abbotoni 6th in the 50 free.
Lincoln took second in all three relays.
Lincoln also won the 200 free relay in 1:55 with Konitzky, Miranda Boe, Ziegra and Mullin, and placed second in the 200 medley relay in 2:27 with Olivia Pennington, Carolyn MacDonald, Holly Stegna and Emily Whitaker.
Mullin won the 200 IM in 2:33 and the 500 free in 5:55. Vaughn won the 50 free in 27.72 and the 100 free in 1:03. Pennington took first in the 200 free in 2:22 and was 3rd in the 100 free in 1:06.
Konitzky won the 100 back in 1:12 and was 2nd in the 50 free in 27.91. Ziegra won the 100 fly in 1:08 and was 2nd in the 100 breast in 1:19. MacDonald placed 3rd in the 200 free in 2:34 and 4th in the 100 back in 1:19. Stegna placed 3rd in the 100 fly in 1:23 and 4th in the 200 IM in 3:00. Boe was 4th in the 500 free in 7:57 and Whitaker 4th in the 100 breast in 1:48.
Sarah Hanley placed 4th in the 50 free for Wiscasset in 29.79 and 5th in the 100 free in1:08. Alyssa Urquhart was 5th in the 100 breast in 2:00. WHS was 4th in the 400 free relay in 5:47 with Hanley, Syd Morin, Urquhart and Abby Foster, and were 5th in the 200 free relay in 2:27 with the same four.
McLeod won the 200 free in 1:58 and was 2nd in the 50 free in 23.38. Ross Hanley won the 100 free in 54.01 and 2nd in the 200 IM in 2:15. Brian Campbell was 2nd in the 500 free in 7:02 and 4th in the 200 IM in 2:45. Ryan Hanley was 2nd in the 100 back in 1:09 and 5th in the 50 free in 26.28. Matt Mills placed 3rd in the 100 breast in 1:32 and 6th in the 100 free in 1:21. Urquhart was 4th in the 200 free in 2:35 and 100 back in 1:22.
The Eagles place 4th in both the 200 and 400 free relays. Will Hadden placed 2nd in the 100 free in 54.42 and 3rd in the 50 free in 24.13. Luke Levesque was 4th in the 100 breast in 1:34. Josh Andrews was 5th in the 200 free in 2:36 and 100 back in 1:26. Nate Friant was 5th in the 100 free in 1:06 and 6th in the 50 free in 29.56. Andrew Arter was 5th in the 100 breast in 1:37. Matt Poland was 6th in the 100 back in 1:46.
