Cony girls defeated Lincoln Academy Monday night in a close match-up 53-41, and beat Wiscasset 75-17. The Eagles were missing seven swimmers due to illness. The loss is the second straight for Lincoln, who were previously undefeated. Lincoln had several swimmers ill at the Morse meet as well. Cony boys beat Lincoln 57-23 and Wiscasset 64-19.
Kara Mullin broke Heidi Ziegra’s Lincoln Academy girls’ 100 butterfly record in 1:06.64. Mullin placed second in the butterfly, and won the 100 back in 1:10. Olivia Pennington took second in the 200 free in 2:15 and 50 free in 28.88. Gretchen Konitzky was second in the 200 IM in 2:41 and 100 free in 1:04. Holly Stegna placed second in the 100 breast in 1:34 and third in the 100 fly in 1:24. Rowan Carroll-Christopher was second in the 500 free in 7:49. Miranda Boe was third in the 500 free in 7:50 and fourth in the 200 IM in 3:40. Carolyn MacDonald was third in the 100 breast in 1:37 and fifth in the 50 free in 30.31. Michaela Cameron was fifth in the 100 free in 1:27.
Lincoln girls won the 200 medley relay in 2:14 with Pennington, Konitzky, Stegna and Mullin; were second in the 200 free relay in 1:54 with Mullin, MacDonald, Pennington and Konitzky; second in the 400 free relay in 5:06 with C-Christopher, Emily Whitaker, Stegna and MacDonald. Lincoln also placed third in the 200 medley relay with C-Christopher, Michaela Cameron, Boe, and Cassie Leeman; and fourth in the 400 free relay in 6:07 with Boe, Audrey Harper, Leeman and Cameron.
Sarah Hanley placed third in two events for Wiscasset girls, the 200 free in 2:31 and the 50 free in 29.11. Abby Foster took second in the 100 free in 1:20 and fifth in the 100 back in 1:47. Maeve Carlson took fourth in the 100 back in 1:37 and fifth in the 200 IM in 3:19. Alyssa Urquhart was fourth in the 500 free in 8:31 and fifth in the 100 breast in 1:55.
Wiscasset took fourth in the 200 medley relay in 2:45 with Foster, Urquhart, Hanley and Carlson, and fourth in the 200 free relay in 2:21 with the same four swimmers.
Lincoln boys won the 200 free relay in 1:55.49 with Hadden, Abbotoni, Jason Berry and Andrews, and placed third in the 400 free relay in 4:45 with Hadden, Abbotoni, Forrest Meader and Andrews.
Ryan Hanley won two events for Wiscasset, the 200 IM in 2:16 and the 100 butterfly in 1:08.27. Matt Mills took second in the 100 breast in 1:26 and third in the 200 free in 2:28. Camden Reiss was fourth in the 100 free in 1:14 and fifth in the 200 free in 2:50. Kyle Viele was fifth in the 50 free in 40.31.
Wiscasset boys placed second in the 200 medley relay in 2:21 with Reiss, Mills, Hanley and Viele, and fourth in the 200 free relay in 2:06 with the same four swimmers.
Kara Mullin won two events for the Lady Eagles, the 200 free in 2:13 and the 50 free in 27.68.
Heidi Ziegra won the 100 free in 1:00 and Pennington the 100 back in 1:10. Stegna took second in the 100 fly in 1:26 and fourth in the 200 free in 2:45. Valeska Vaughn was second in the 200 IM in 2:59 and 100 free in 1:04. C-Christopher was second in the 50 free in 32.16. Whitaker placed second in the 100 breast in 1:41. MacDonald was third in the 200 free in 2:33 and 100 back in 1:19. Boe took third in the 100 fly in 1:40.
Lincoln girls won all three relays, the 400 free in 4:38 with Pennington, MacDonald, Stegna and Mullin, the 200 medley in 2:17 with Pennington, MacDonald, Ziegra and Mullin, and the 200 free in 1:58 with C-Christopher, Mullin, Ziegra and Vaughn. They also took second in the 200 medley in 2:17 with Boe, Whitaker, Stegna and C-Christopher.
Carlson placed third in the 50 free in 33.73 and fourth in the 100 back in 1:37 for Wiscasset girls. Foster was third in the 100 free in 1:21 and fifth in the 50 free in 34.76. Urquhart was third in the 100 breast in 1:57.
Hanley placed second in two events for Wiscasset, the 50 free in 35.44 and the 100 back in 1:02. Mills was second in the 100 breast in 1:22. Reiss was third in the 200 free in 2:55 and fifth in the 50 free in 32.8. Viele was fourth in the 200 free in 3:23 and fourth in the 10 free in 1:36. Wiscasset placed second in two relays, the 200 medley in 2:01 with Reiss, Mills, Hanley and Viele, and the 200 free in 2:09 with the same four swimmers.
