Lincoln Academy girls’ basketball team scored 44 points in their 65-44 loss to Camden Tuesday night in Newcastle.
“We accomplished our goals. We scored over 40 points, which was our high for the year and we won the 4th quarter. We handled the press better tonight. We can see the improvement,” Lincoln coach Conrad Lewis said.
Camden led 17-9, 35-15, and 53-28 at the quarter breaks. Lincoln outscored the Windjammers 14-12 in the final period.
Scoring for Lincoln were Merissa Look 13, Jen Genthner 12, Taylor Oliver 8, Leslie Sandefur 5, Danielle Pinkham 4, and McKayla Brackett 2. Scoring for Camden were Jordan Knowlton 23, Taylor Porter 13, Sarah Steele 7, Megan Legage 7, Caroline Matteo 5, Jackie Richards 4 and Marina French 4.
