Medomak Valley girls’ basketball team defeated Mt.View 59-29 in a lopsided game Friday night in Waldoboro. The Lady Panthers jumped out to a 22-7 1st quarter lead, led by Mallory Conary with 10 and Alanna Vose 8. They extended their lead to 31-11 at the half and 44-22 at the end of three.
Scoring for Medomak were Vose 23 (6A,5S), Conary with a career high 16 (4S,2A,2R), Amanda Hendrickson-Belloguet 6 (5R,3A,3S), Elise Wallace 4, Mallory Robbins 4 (3R), Taylor Simmons 2 (2S), Emily Leary 2 and Hannah Marks 2. Scoring for Mt.View were Kelsey Higgins 10, LeeAnn Larrabee 6, Janelle Thornley 6, Anna Piotti 3, Amanda Larrabee 2 and Courtney Morse, Alexis Morse and Dinah Bilodeau 1 each.
Medomak was awarded just five foul shots in the game, and made just one. “We were never in the bonus the whole game,” coach Randy Hooper said.
Medomak led 13-7, 34-28, and 47-46 at the quarter breaks.
Scoring for the Panthers were Alanna Vose 26, Mallory Conary 10, Mallory Robbins 8, Amanda Hendrickson-Belloguet 6, Hannah Marks 4 and Emily Leach 2. Scoring for Camden were Knowlton 17, Legage 12, Steele 10, Porter 10, French 9 and Richards 6.
