Medomak Valley girls’ basketball team improved their record to 4-0 with a 64-48 win on the road at Camden on Friday, and a 55-44 win over Oak Hill Tuesday night at home.
Scoring for Medomak were Ericka Christensen with a career high 22 (8R,2A, 8 for 12 at foul line), Lindsay Ranquist 11 (4R,3A), Vanessa Davis 9, Nicole Weaver 7, Kasey Benner 6 (3S,2A,3R), Alanna Vose 5 (4R,2A,3S), and Mallory Conary 4 (4R,3A,2S). Scoring for Camden were Jordan Knowlton 9, Maci Heal 7, Marina French 6, Addie Drinkwater 6, Sarah Stemple 6, Cailand Sweeting 5, Melanie Vangel 5, Robin Botley 2 and Megan LeGage 2.
The Raiders cut the lead to five to kick off the third quarter, before Medomak went on a 12-2 run, led by six points from Christensen and four from Ranquist. Medomak led 44-30 at the end of three, and effectively took the Raiders out of the game.
The Raiders put the Panthers on the line in the fourth quarter, and Medomak sealed the deal by sinking 7 of 9.
Three Medomak players scored in double figures in the win. Scoring for Medomak were Ranquist 17 (6R,5S), Vose 16 (3R,4A,5S), Christensen 12 (6R), Ashley Rackliff 4 (3A), Davis 3 (4A), and Conary 3 (4R). Scoring for Oak Hill were Maggie Sabine 19, Jessica Roberts 14 (4-3’s), Chassidy Hilchey 6 and Danielle Beaulieu 5.
