Lincoln Academy’s golf team is off to a fast start, winning their first six matches of the season. Tuesday at Samoset Golf Course, the Eagles shot a team round of 149 to beat Camden 7-2. Camden shot a 174.
Malcolm Oliver shot his lowest score of the season with a three under par 31 to beat John Vannorsdall (39). Oliver shot an eagle, seven pars and birdied the ninth hole.
Stephen Quinlan (45) lost to Jay Knowlton by two strokes. Seward Matel, coming off a hole-in-one in practice at Wawenock on Monday, shot a 37 to beat Miles Ingraham (46). Goran Johanson shot a season low 39 to beat Eddy Socker (47). Jalen Lincoln (42) beat Max Fisher (57) Alex Graves (51) lost to Zach Christie (46).
In JV action, Casey Poland shot a 46 to beat Andrew Kyle (57) and Kelsey Leeman shot 51 to beat John Cummon by two strokes.
Malcolm Oliver and Seward Matel tied for low medallist with 39’s. Oliver defeated Adam Lynch (52) and Matel topped Isaac Greenrose (49). Stephen Quinlan (45) beat John Wilcox by three strokes. Jalen Lincoln (44) lost to Alex Greenrose by one stroke. Alex Cosgrove (47) defeated Zach Judkins (52), and Goran Johanson (41) topped John Murray (59).
