Lincoln Academy’s golf team opened with a 7-2 win over MCI Tuesday at Wawenock. The Eagles shot a team round of 155 in their KVAC opener, and MCI shot a 179.
Malcolm Oliver was low medallist at number one with a 35 to beat Gavin Dugas 42. Seward Matel (41) beat Trevor Kitchen by nine strokes. Goran Johanson (38) beat Kael McCarthy (52).
Jalen Lincoln (41) out stroked Dylan Watrous by eight. Cody Graves (51) fell to Cameron Neal (44), and Kelsey Leeman (47) lost to Garth Stockwell by three strokes.
The Eagles return all players but one from a team that lost one match last season and won the KVAC championship.
