Lincoln Academy coaches presented their spring sports award on an individual basis. Awards by sport are as follows:
Girls tennis awards were presented to Leslie Sandefur (MVP), and Cristina Garcia (Coach’s Award). Garcia was named to the KVAC 1st Team at second singles, and Nettie Hoagland was named to the KVAC 1st team at third singles. Both girls went undefeated during the KVAC season. Sandefur was named to the KVAC 2nd team at first singles. The doubles teams of Hana Hirano and Kate Westhaver, and Shiann Keene and Polina Scimone were named to the KVAC 2nd Team.
Boys lacrosse awards were presented to Luke Huntington (Bob Jones Award), and Greg Anderson (MVP).
Boys tennis awards were presented to Mason Whitaker (Coach’s Award) and Liam Brinkler (Most Improved).
Softball awards were presented to Abby Farrin (Most Outstanding Player), and Morgan Achorn (Coach’s Award). Abby Farrin was named KVAC Coastal Player of the Year, and was selected to the KVAC 1st Team with Eagle teammates Morgan and Miranda Achorn. Tom Nelson was named KVAC Coastal Coach of the Year. The softball team also won the KVAC championship, and earned the Capital Area Umpire Association Sportsmanship Award.
A girls lacrosse award was presented to Andrea Call (Coach’s Award). Ashley Mason and Tess Fields were named to the KVAC 1st Team. Andrea Call and Bayley Pendleton were named to the KVAC 2nd Team.
Baseball awards were presented to Sawyer Pinkham (MVP) and Wally Morris (Coach’s Award). Pinkham was named to the KVAC 1st Team.
Boys track awards were presented to Alex Organ (Leadership & Achievement) and Angus Fake (Career Improvement Award). The LA boys 4×800 relay team of Ian Stapp, Riley Cushing, Fake and Organ was recognized by the KVAC.
Girls track and field award was presented to Michaela Peabody (Dedication and Commitment Award). LA’s relay team Cate Organ, Maggie Nevens, Allie Gorrill, and Tahlia Mullen was recognized by the KVAC.
KVAC All Academic
Thirteen Lincoln Academy senior scholar/athletes were recognized with KVAC All-Academic awards, including Abigail Farrin, Danielle Pinkham, Walter Morris, Devin Scherer, Andrea Call, Tess Fields, Bayley Pendleton, Sophia Carbonneau, Thilee Yost, Leslie Sandefur, Martin Kucera, Mason Whitaker, and Michaela Peabody.
