Lincoln boys (6-7) are seeded 12th in West Class B after their loss Tuesday night to 4th seed Gardiner. The top nine teams in West B qualify for post-season play.
The Tigers defended their home turf against the Eagles Tuesday night, beating Lincoln Academy 55-50. Gardiner led 13-8 at the quarter, 31-22 at the half and 44-32 at the end of three. Lincoln out scored Gardiner 18-11 in the final frame, but the Tigers made just enough foul shots (7 of 13) to maintain the lead.
Scoring for Lincoln were Brandon Reilly 17, Jalen Lincoln 14, Stephen Quinlan 5, Everett Martin 4, Dylan Leavitt 4, Kyle Scherer 4 and Ryley Leavitt 2. Scoring for Gardiner were Mike Trahan 15, Jake Palmer 10, Aaron Toman 8, Kaleb Smith 5, Matt Hall 4, Justin Lovely 4 and Alonzo Connor 2.
“They’re a pretty good team, we did OK against them,” coach John Gosselin said.
