Lincoln Academy girls’ swim team swam to a new school record in the 200 medley relay Tuesday night in Wiscasset. Kara Mullin, Olivia Pennington, Valeska Vaughn and Heidi Ziegra broke the record in a winning time of 2:05.43.
Will Hadden broke Lincoln Academy boys’ swim record in the 200 IM in 2:18.00.
Both Lincoln girls and boys swam to victories over Wiscasset and Belfast. Belfast and Lincoln girls were undefeated going into the meet. LA girls beat Belfast 52-42, and Wiscasset 70-21. In boys’ swim action, LA beat Wiscasset 36-23 and lost to Belfast 76-12.
Ziegra won the 200 IM in 2:27 and the 500 free in 6:00. Gretchen Konitzky won the 50 free in 27.3. Vaughn won the 100 fly in 1:15. Mullin won the 100 free in 1:00 and was second in the 100 breast in 1:19.
MacDonald took second in the 200 free in 2:32 and fourth in the 100 breast in 1:38. Pennington was second in the 200 IM in 2:40 and the 100 fly in 1:22. Rowa Carroll-Christopher was third in the 100 free in 1:11 and fourth in the 200 free in 2:42. Boe took fourth in the 100 back in 1:28 and fifth in the 200 free in 2:46. Stegna placed fourth in the 500 free in 7:23 and fifth in the 50 free in 33.65.
Wiscasset girls took third in the 200 medley relay in 2:30 with Alyssa Urquhart, Julia West, Sarah Hanley and Syd Morin. Hanley was second in the 100 back in 1:22 and 50 free in 28.26. West took third in the 50 free in 29.45 and 100 breast in 1:19. Maeve Carlson was fifth in the 100 free in 1:19 and 100 breast in 1:48. Urquhart was fifth in the 200 IM in 3:36 and 100 back in 1:46. Abby Foster placed sixth in the 100 free in 1:21.
Ryan Hanley won the 100 breast for Wiscasset in 1:18 and was second in the 50 free in 25.57. Matt Mills placed fourth in the 100 back in 1:32 and fifth in the 100 free in 1:09. Camden Reiss was fifth in the 100 back in 1:34 and sixth in the 100 free in 1:15. Kyle Viele was fifth in the 100 breast in 1:59, sixth in 4 50 free in 40.81.
