Lincoln Lacrosse Wins Back-To-Back Games

Lincoln Academy boys’ lacrosse team won back-to-back games this week, beating Camden 6-3 and Maranacook 7-5.

Sam Stone netted 3 goals and 2 assists in the Eagles’ first win of the season at Camden on May 27. Josh Benner added two goals and Cole Domeyer one. Martin Shott had 5 saves in net for the Eagles. Scoring for Camden were Malcolm Steele, Max Mercier and Taylor Williams.

Lincoln led from the first quarter on. “We had a solid defensive performance from Goran Johanson, Nic Phinney, Jan Taliento and Dalton Peaslee,” coach Bret Hines said.

Lincoln 7 – Maranacook 5“All players came through with an impressive effort despite a very thin varsity roster,” Hines said of the Eagles 7-5 win over the Black Bears on Monday at GSB School. S. Stone and Ryan Wahle had two goals and an assist each; Domeyer had a goal and assist, and Ben Stone and Benner a goal each. “Goran Johanson, Nic Phinney, Hayden Crowell and Dalton Peaslee were outstanding on defense, and Martin Shott had an amazing game in goal (13 saves), Hines commented.
