Medomak Valley All Sports Boosters hosted their annual Holiday Classic basketball tournament on Dec. 26, featuring eight girls’ and eight boys’ teams.
Midcoast Energy, Sunset Knoll Landscaping and Greenhouse, Hervochon Construction, Harold C. Ralph Chevrolet, Newcastle Square Vacation Rentals, Wallace’s Market, Moody’s Diner, Eastern Tire & Auto Service, Dow Furniture, Hillside Collision, Durkee & Sons Inc., Waldoboro Chiropractic & Massage, Lash Realty Group, Spears Farm, Maine Modular & Manufactured Homes, Supplies Unlimited, Town Line Video Plus, and Masters Machine Company were tournament sponsors.

Boothbay 60 – Waterville 59
Kayla Connors opened the final period with a pair at the foul line to knot the score. Wiscasset stayed close, but were unable to get over the hump in the final period.
Scoring for Lincoln were Look 17 (3-3’s,4R), Jenn Genthner 11 (8R,2S,2B), Danielle Pinkham 3 (4R), Taylor Oliver 2 and Rachel Hughes 2. Scoring for Wiscasset were Connors 21 (15R, Heidi Pinkham 4, Goud 3 (6R), and Miranda McIntire 2.
Players of the game were Connors for Wiscasset and Look for the Eagles.
Messalonskee led twice in the 3rd quarter, including taking the lead on a six-point run with a minute and a half to go in the frame. Emily Leach settled two at the foul line to give Medomak a one-point edge going into the final period.
Messalonskee tied the game and took the lead twice in the final frame. Medomak rallied on baskets from Leach and Alanna Vose with under two minutes to play, and Mallory Conary and Vose scored a foul shot each to win by five.
