Boothbay Harbor native Ellie Logan earned her second Olympic gold medal today as a member of the U. S. Women’s 8 with Coxswain team. The team put on a commanding performance at Dorney Lake in Windsor, England, taking an early lead and holding off a late charge from the silver medal winning Canadian team.
Logan is one of the six members of the 2012 team to repeat as Olympic Champions. The US women also won gold during the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
