Medomak Middle School 8th grade baseball team defeated Nobleboro-Jefferson 14-1 on June 15 in Wiscasset to win the 2019 Busline League championship. Hayden Staples collected the win for the Riverhawks (4H).
The Riverhawks batted around in the third inning scoring eight runs to break the game open. Staples and Blake Morrison hit two runs singles in the inning. Medomak took full advantage of three errors, two hit batters and three walks in the pivotal inning.
Medomak was led at the plate by Staples with a double and single, Wyatt Simmons with two singles, and Matthew Holbrook and Morrison a single each. Hitting for Nobleboro- Jefferson were Ivan Coffin with two singles, Jacob Campbell a double and Garrett Howard a single
