Medomak Valley boys basketball team defeated MDI 59-47 Wednesday night in an East Class B semi-final game. The Panthers advance to Saturday’s East Class B championship game with Winslow. Game time is around 4 p.m. The Panthers lost to Winslow during the KVAC season 62-45, then beat them in the KVAC championship game 66-63, setting up an exciting Regional championship
In the MDI win, Medomak took the lead for good early in the second quarter and held on for a 12 point win. Micah Williamson sank 8 of 8 foul shots in the fourth quarter and Nicholas DePatsy sank 6 of 8.
Scoring for Medomak were Williamson 20, DePatsy 18, Cam Allaire 8, Zach Starr 6, Colton Spear 5 and Robert Cole 2. Scoring for MDI were Riley Swanson 17, Russell Kropff 10, Drew Rich 4, Aaron Snorkowski 4, James O’Donell4, Graham Good 3, Andrew Phelps 2, Jake Bounil 2 and Aaron Boumil 1.
