Medomak Valley’s softball team is 10-3 going into the final week of the season. The Lady Panthers crushed Rockland 20-4 and Mt.View 12-0 this week, and were shutout by Winslow 9-0.
Medomak scored a run in the 2nd inning on a walk to Santheson and RBI single to Davis. They added three runs in the 4th on a Mallory Conary single, Vanessa Davis walk, Ericka Christensen sacrifice, D. Benner two run single, Alanna Vose single, Heidi Obuchon walk and Lindsay Ranquist RBI single.
The Panthers broke the game open in the bottom of the 5th to end the game early with eight runs. Amanda Hendrickson singled, followed by a Conary single and Davis walk to load up the bases. Jenna Tracy was hit by a pitch (RBI), D. Benner walked in a run, Vose was hit by pitch for an RBI. Kasey Benner hit a three run triple and scored on a throwing error on the play. Hendrickson singled, Wallace reached on an error and Maria Ennamorati walked to set up an RBI walk to Tracy.
K. Benner drove in 7 runs with a triple and 2 doubles, Hendrickson drove in 2 runs on 3 hits, Conary had 2RBI with 2 singles, Obuchon 2 singles and Santheson (2RBI), Vose, Ranquist (2RBI) Jessica Koon, (2RBI) and Elise Wallace one hit each. Hitting for Rockland were Zoe Proctor with 3 singles (4RBI) and Gustin and Natalie Russell a single each.
K. Benner had two hits and Davis and Koon one each for the Panthers. Hitting leaders for the Raiders were Rachel Hall with 4 (2RBI) and Kristen Loubier 2.
