Medomak Valley schools announce fall sports tryouts

Tryouts at MVHS begin Mon., August 15. Below are times and coaches contact information for each sport.
Cross-Country: George Gould- 215-9729 or email@example.com. Runners will meet on the track from 6:00-7:30 Monday thru Friday until school begins.
Golf: Peter Stuart- 542-0668 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Athletes interested in golf should meet at Rockland Golf Course from 3:30-5:30. Appropriate attire is required on the course.
Fall Cheer: Heather Simmons- 832-7592 or email@example.com. Cheerleaders will meet from 4-5:30 in front of the gym on Tuesday 8/16.
Girls Soccer: Larry Jensen- firstname.lastname@example.org. Girls interested in trying out should meet on the MMS field at 5:30. Pre-season practices will run from 5:30-7:15. Girls should bring cleats and sneakers to each pre-season practice.
Boys Soccer: Brian Campbell- 215-3111 or email@example.com. Boys interested in trying out should meet on the MV Baseball field at 5:30. Practices will run from 5:30-7:30.
Football: Ryan Snell- 735-4769 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Athletes will meet at 5:00 on the front field at MVHS. Pre-season practices will run 5:00-7:00 until school begins.

Practices for MMS Girls and Boys Soccer begin August 22. Athletes interested in trying out for soccer should meet behind the gym at 4:00. Week one practices will run Monday thru Thursday from 4:00-6:00.
Cross-Country: Lorraine Knight: email@example.com. Girls and Boys Cross-Country begins on August 22. Athletes will meet in front of the school. Week one practices are Monday thru Thursday 3:00-4:30.
All MVHS & MMS athletes must return a completed Sports Participation Approval Form, along with proof of sports physical and health insurance before or on the first day. The form can be downloaded at www.msad40.org under “Athletics”, then “Forms”. Parents can turn in paperwork at the main offices, fax to the attention of the athletic director at 832-2280, or by handing in on the first date. Each athlete should come to practice in the appropriate clothing and footwear. Be prepared for hot conditions. Bring plenty of water or sports drinks.
