Medomak Valley High School held their winter sports awards on Wed., March 9. Athletic Director Matt Lash thanked a long list of people, including the boosters, and presented gifts to trainer Paul Surrette and his father Neil Lash.
Booster president Jimmy Hunt presented thank you gifts to Bonny and Betsy Lash, Neil Lash and Matt Lash. The presentation to Matt Lash drew a standing ovation.
The freshman girls’ basketball team won the GPA award with a grade point average of 3.5. Three teams were 3.3 or above. The average for all teams was a 2.92.
Athletes who compete with other schools were recognized, including swim team members Will Cormier, Lance Parker, Ian Rixon, Michael Prescott and Ariele Rancourt; Ice Cats hockey team members Yannick Pirce-Prevot, AJ Naum, Kerry Madden, Cal Robbins and Kenneth Scheimreif; and indoor track members Brendon O’Donnnell, Julie Ennamorati, Nick Anderson, Maria Ennamorati and.

Lady Panther Ericka Christensen was named to the East Class B Girls’ All Tournament team, and Alanna Vose was named Honorable Mention.
Sophomore John Murray was named Honorable Mention to the East Class B Boys’ All Tournament team.
