Medomak wins WCC Grades 3, 4 tournament

Medomak third and fourth grade boys’ travel team won the Wiscasset Parks & Recreation Department invitational basketball tournament over the weekend.

Medomak 41 – Topsham 16Medomak defeated Topsham in game one Friday night. Scoring for Medomak were Taylor McLain 16, Jon Allan 9, Cam Allaire 6, Richie Sproul 4 and Patrick White, Cale Gee, and Nick Grover 2 each. Matt Connors led Topsham with 12 points.Richmond 24 – Wiscasset 23Richmond snuck by host Wiscasset by one point in overtime in game two on Friday. Scoring for Wiscasset were Grant Hefler 11, Ethan James 5, Conlon Ranta 4, Kevin Lynch 2 and Corban Teel 1. Scoring for Richmond were Corson Swan 9, Brady Johnson 5, Cody Tribbet 4, Cameron Cox 2, and Brendan Emmons 2.Wiscasset 31 – Topsham 29Wiscasset eliminated Topsham Saturday morning 31-29. Scoring for Wiscasset were Hefler 14, James 6, Ranta 2, Lynch 2, Zach Reed 2, Teel 2 and Russell Marr 1.

Scoring for Topsham were Ben Waltz 9, James Pelletier 7, Jacob Sturgess 4, Kevin Giroux 4, James Hutchinson 2, Ben Waltz 2, and Kyle Jefferson 1.Medomak 18 – Richmond 17Medomak handed Richmond their first loss of the tournament in game four. Scoring for Medomak were Gee 8, Allaire 4, White 2, Allard 2 and Sproul 2. Scoring for Richmond were Cox 5, Emmons 4, Tribbet 3, Swan 2, and Small 1.Richmond 34 – Wiscasset 25Richmond beat Wiscasset to advance to the championship game with Medomak. Scoring for Richmond were Small 12, Guerin 8, Tribbet 6, Emmons 6, and Swan 4. Scoring for Wiscasset were James 9, Hefler 7, Nehemiah Brown 5, Lynch 2, and Reed 2.Medomak 20 – Richmond 19Medomak clipped Richmond by one again in the championship game, 20-19. Scoring for Medomak were Sproul 6, Allard 5, McLain 4, Gee 3 and White 2. Scoring for Richmond were Emmons 7, Swan 3, Guerin 3, Small 2, Tribbet 2, and Cox 2.
