Medomak Valley wrestler Steven Genthner (145) picked up his 100th career win on Saturday at Mt. Ararat in less than dramatic fashion, taking a victory by forfeit over Chevrus. Genthner collected six wins in six matches this week to achieve the milestone.
Panther Coach Philip Genthner did not know Chevrus was wrestling on Saturday, so it came as a pleasant surprise for his son to earn the honor.
The Panthers competed in six meets this week, beating Portland 48-18, Chevrus 42-24, and Oxford Hills 36-18, and falling to Oak Hill 65-12, Mt. Ararat 53-27 and Brewer 57-22.
Ben Lufkin (112) pinned Blake (Mt.A) in 22 seconds, pinned Sprigg (B) in 3:12, pinned Hlister (OH) in 1:35, pinned Llsey (Ox) in 13 seconds and won one match by forfeit.
Cheyenne Augustine (119) beat Gunter (Mt.A) by 11-5 decision, won by forfeit and pinned Brown-Meehan in 1:22.
Stefan Nicholls (125) won two by forfeit and lost 14-4 to Madore (OH).
Adam Lynch (135) lost by tech fall to Ciciotte (Mt.A), lost 8-2 to Dugas (B), pinned Schwartz (P) in 1:09, pinned Ward (C) in 1:22, lost to Morrill by 12-0 decision and won by forfeit.
Steven Genthner (145) pinned Rinaldi (Mt.A) in 5:59, pinned Porter (B) in 1:02, pinned Henry (P) in 1:25, and won three by forfeit.
Chris Nason (160) was pinned by True (Mt.A) in 1:58, by Noyes (B) in 1:09, and by Molleo (C) in 51 seconds.
Trever Neilson (171) pinned Yenco (Mt.A) in 2:23, was pinned by Soucy (B) in 5:13, won three by forfeit, and was pinned by Tibbetts in 4:59.
Dylan Look (189) was pinned by D. Rinaldi (Mt.A) in 5:25, lost 17-8 to Pelkey (B), won one by forfeit, Pinned Dedian (C) in 3:58, lost a 5-3 decision to Surrette (OH) and was pinned by Bunker (Ox) in 4:41.
Gabe Delano (215) pinned Galbot (Mt.A) in 3:44, was pinned by Eaton (B) in 28 seconds, pinned Bigelow (P) in 49 seconds, pinned Dressell (C) in 36 seconds, was pinned by Wells (OH) in 57 seconds and was pinned by Buker (Ox) in 4:41.
