Morse girls soccer team defeated Medomak Valley 2-1 in the Panthers den on Sept. 1 in their KVAC season opener. Emily Martin gave the Shipbuilders a 1-0 lead at the half. Sierra Wallace added a second half goal for Morse. Cassie Smeltzer spoiled the shutout with 32 seconds left to play when she delivered a penalty kick to the back of the net. Kayla Donlin made five saves in her varsity debut in the Panthers net. Marissa Parks made 10 saves for Morse
