“This was without a doubt a huge win for us. However, we are still sitting in 11th place and need to move up one more spot to make the playoffs. Isaac Greenrose pitched a great game, working very hard to keep Winslow scoreless. He really kept their hitters off balance, proved by forcing seven groundouts to short. We were able to find a way to get on and score up and down the line-up today. Six different batters had hits and six different batters scored. We have to keep this going for the last seven days of the regular season,” coach Scott Hastings commented.
Medomak took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the 1st inning. Isaac Durkee singled and scored on a John Murray double. They added five runs in the 4th. Alex Greenrose led off with a double, and Kyle Durkee and Brandon Gresham walked to load up the bases for an RBI fielder’s choice to Cody Ames, RBI walk to Brandon Soper and 2-run single to I. Greenrose. They added a run in the 6th when Ames walked, stole his way to third and scored on a Soper sacrifice fly.
Hitting for Medomak were I. Greenrose with 3 singles, I. Durkee 2 singles, Murray and A. Greenrose a double each, and Ames and Chris Benedict a single each. Hitting for Winslow were Hill with 2 and Zach Carey, Donald Camp, Chris Smith, McKenzie Michaud and Gabe Smith 1 each.
