Medomak Valley boys’ soccer team dropped four straight games to end their season at 2-10-2 and out of the playoff picture.
Mt. View held a 15-3 advantage in shots. Robbie Griffin made seven stops in net for the Panthers, and Chris Montimony one save for the Mustangs. The Mustangs had 10 corner kicks.
Deering Genthner’s shot was stopped by Shipbuilder keeper Grady Madden, but Madden muffed the punt. Morrill was there to scoop it up and deliver a shot from 18 yards out.
The Panthers stopped a flurry of shots early in the 2nd half, including a diving block by Robbie Griffin, and a goal line header from Brandon Soper.
Morse tied the game midway through the 2nd half on a rocket from Cody Snyder. Panther keeper Griffin blocked a hard shot from PC Ostergaard with four minutes to play, and Michael Alvares put in the rebound for the game winner.
Morse held a 19-9 advantage in shots. Griffin made 11 saves for the Panthers, and Madden 8 for the Shipbuilders.
The Panthers missed the aggressive play of Kazu Tibbetts in the game.
