Medomak Valley track and field teams raked in six first place finishes at Belfast on May 21. Kiana Ocean won the mile in 5:47. Morgan Baum won the javelin (94’11”) and was 2nd in the discus (93’10”) and shot (28’0″). Nate Meade won the triple jump (40’11”), was 2nd in the long jump (18’9″) and 6th in the 100 in 12.32. Ian Rixon won the racewalk in 8:39. Alex MacKenzie won the long jump (18’11”) and was 4th in the high jump (5’6″). Patrick O’Donnell won the mile in 4:41 and was 2nd in the 200 in 24.13.
Nicole Weaver was 2nd in the 800 in 2:38. Julie Ennamorati took 2nd in the triple jump (33′). Katja Assfalg was 3rd in javelin (77’3″) and 5th in shot (25′). Kelsie Grady was 3rd in the 320 in 15:24. Abbie Vail was 4th in the discus (78’4″) and 8th in the 100 hurdles in 21.45. Heidi Harris placed 5th in the 400 in 1:07; Lacy Massengale 5th in the long jump (13’5.25″); Jessica Prescott 5th in discus (69’5″); Desiree Leary 6th in the high jump (4’2″); Emily Leach 7th in the 200 in 29.73; Roxanne Jelenfy 7th in the 100 hurdles in 21.41; and Selena Ding was 6th in the 3200 in 16:55 and 8th in the racewalk in 12:00.
The Lady Panthers took 3rd in the 4×100 in 57.48 with Ennamorati, Massengale, Ashley Rackliff and Leach; and 4th in the 4×400 in 4:57 with Weaver, Harris, Megan Wyllie and Ocean.
Jon Hendrickson took 2nd in the triple jump (38’8″) and was 7th in the 100 in 12.39. Devon Sproul was 2nd in the 400 in 57.32 and 5th in the high jump (5’4″). Josh Parmenter was 2nd in the 300 hurdles in 42.71 and 6th in the 100 in 25.2. Joe Murphy was 5th in the 1600 in 5:17. Nick Anderson was 5th in the javelin (125’8″). Brendon O’Donnell was 6th in the 1600 in 5:22. Nate McBrien was 6th in the triple jump (34’10”). TJ Harriman was 8th in the 110 hurdles in 21:08. Taylor Packard took 8th in the 1600 in 5:34.
The Panthers placed 2nd in the 4×800 relay in 9:38 with McBrien, B. O’Donnell, Packard and Murphy, and were 2nd I the 4×400 in 3:49 with McBrien, Parmenter, Sproul and P. O’Donnell.
The Lady Eagles placed 3rd in the 4×400 in 4:45 with Komorowski, Fake, Moran and Leeman; and 5th in the 4×100 in 1:01 with Otterbein, Kiley Bickford, Mullin and Lee.
Jian Giglia was 2nd in the 800 in 2:04 and 5th in the 100 in 12.28. Zach Miller took 2nd in the 110 hurdles in 18.25 and 3rd in the 300 hurdles in 46.21. Josh Richards was 5th in the 3200 in 15:20 and Mat Poland 6th in 15:50. Alex Braley placed 6th in the javelin (123’1″). The Eagles took 3rd in the 4×800 in 10:21 with Kevin Sandefur, Oliver Hodous, Steven Severance and Shawn Grooms.
Giglia won the 1600 in 4:50 and was 2nd in the 3200 in 11:05. Severance took 2nd in the 300 hurdles in 48.49. Eric Roberts placed 2nd in the shot (36’11.5) and 3rd in discus (89’9″). Braley was 3rd in the javelin (118’6″). Grooms took 5th in the 300 hurdles in 49.92 and 8th in the 3200 in 12:04. Miller was 6th in the 200 in 25.94 and 7th in the 400 in 58.55. Liam Mullen was 8th in the 100 in 12.75.
