Lewiston numbers were too heavy to overcome in Lincoln Academy’s and Wiscasset’s opening swim meet Friday night. Lincoln girls and Wiscasset boys placed second. Lincoln Academy freshman Kara Mullin broke two records, the 200 IM in 2:28.08, and the 500 freestyle in 5:53.27, and Valeska Vaughn broke the 50 freestyle record in 26.83.
Wiscasset won the 200 free relay in 1:44.2 with Campbell, Urquhart, Ross Hanley, and McLeod, and won the 200 medley relay in 1:36.47 with Ross Hanley, McLeod, Campbell and Urquhart.
Zach Merritt was fourth in the 100 back in 1:59 and fifth in the 50 free in 41.19. Wyatt Roy was sixth in the 100 free in 1:23. The Eagles placed second in the 400 free relay in 4:14 with Han-Lalime, Severance, Huntington and Hadden; second in the 200 free relay in 1:48 with Severance, Han-Lalime, Huntington and Hadden; and fifth in the 200 free relay in 2:50 with Matthew Poland, Roy, Merritt and Peter Wells.
The Eagles placed second in the 200 medley relay in 2:17.93 with Jackson, MacDonald, Vaughn and Fisher.
