Registration for the 2011 Waldoboro Youth Soccer program has begun. Forms are currently being accepted at the Waldoboro Recreation Department Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Sept. 2.
The program is open to boys and girls entering Kindergarten through sixth grade in Waldoboro and surrounding communities. Cost of the program is $25 per player (a $5 non-resident fee applies – waived for program coaches). There are three divisions of play: Micros (K-2), PeeWees – (3/4 grade) and Juniors (5/6 grade). Micros play Saturdays beginning Sept. 10. Games for PeeWees and Juniors are being scheduled and should begin by mid-September.
Players in the fifth and sixth grade are encouraged to register as soon as possible in order to get the boys and girls travel teams together.
Coaches are needed at all levels. Anyone interested in coaching, assisting with the program or needing more information should call Kyle at 832-5369 (ext. 308).
